YOUNG patients have been getting into the football spirit at Frenchay Hospital.
Youngsters being treated ay the Barbara Russell Children's Unit at the hospital have been showing their support for Euro 2012 after a donation of football stickers.
Hundreds of stickers featuring players in the tournament were donated to the hospital by sticker producers Panini.
Ben Thompson, 14, from Bradley Stoke, and Joe Allen, 11, from Abbots Leigh, were among the first to open some of the donated packs of stickers.
Kate Derrick from the unit's play team said: "We are really delighted to receive this donation. It's a lovely way for our young patients to celebrate Euro 2012 and feel part of the action.
"We will be creating a special wall poster for our unit with the donated stickers. It's going to be lots of fun for the children we are caring for."
Trevor Reid, from Shine Together – the charity which raises money for Frenchay and Southmead Hospitals, said: "We would like to pass our thanks to staff at Panini for supporting our children's unit. It's a great gesture and will mean a lot to our patients who are watching Euro 2012 with great excitement."
