ALTHOUGH it was a break from the norm, in terms of practice throughout the week, we were able to come away from our last competitive game of 2012 in Worthing with a win.
A few guys, including coach Andreas Kapoulas missed training this week due to the Norovirus that's reeking havoc across the UK.
So even though we travelled with a light crew, we were used to being a few short of our usual dozen because of the training sessions we went through earlier in the week.
Mo Gotti (Mostapha Alfaki) had another big performance scoring a career high 37, but it was a team effort as everyone who made the trip made it on the score sheet.
Shout out to the supporters who made the journey east as well. As always, it's greatly appreciated by everyone in the team.
The first Steve Ashton three-on-three tournament was held Sunday at the SGS Wise Campus, and was a great success.
Although I'm sometimes dubbed the 'import' player, I've been fortunate enough to be in Bristol for almost four seasons now.
In that time, I thankfully had the pleasure of meeting Steve before he tragically passed away almost two years ago.
It's a reminder for me to cherish every moment in life, especially with those closest to me.
Although my wife and I are away from our families back in the United States, we get to spend Christmas and New Year with each other.
This time of year especially reminds me to remain humble and thankful for everything I have in life..
But now all I'm doing is looking forward to some hard-earned time off, and catching up with several great friends over our two-week break before resuming the season in the New Year.
