At first, firefighters thought someone might be trapped inside, but officials later learned that the two homes were vacant and no one was hurt, Montgomery County Police Reporter says in a story on its website. The call came in just before 3 a.m. Saturday to North Montgomery Fire Department. A second alarm brought crews from Cut and Shoot, Caney Creek, Central Montgomery County and Conroe with backup provided by Needham and Lake Conroe fire departments. Authorities later later learned the owner had not been home.
